Medicare Bulk-Billed Eye Examinations
What Is Bulk Billing?
If you hold a current Medicare card, you could be eligible for a bulk-billed eye test with our practitioner.
At Elevate Eyecare, qualifying Medicare services are fully bulk-billed.
This means there is no extra cost for your assessment. We simply process the rebate directly from Medicare with your approval.
Medicare Coverage Details
Bulk-Billed services apply to eligible clinical fees but do not cover retail products.
Typically, patients under 65 are eligible every three years, while those aged 65 and over can visit annually.
Eligibility depends on your claim history and Medicare rules. We will always clarify any costs with you before starting.
What To Bring
Medicare covers the cost of your consultation but does not pay for frames or lenses.
These items are often covered by private insurance.
For your appointment, please have your Medicare card, health fund card, and current glasses ready.
Note: All claims are subject to current Australian Medicare Benefit Schedule requirements.
